There are a LOT of veterinary clinics in the area, but this is the best. They make sure you understand everything, dote on your pet, and are so communicative and amazing. Edited to add that I have now entrusted all three veterinarians with the care of my dogs and they have all been wonderful! Everyone is so lovely there and they provide top-notch medicine.
Dr. Laura Kimmell is amazing. She had been my dog's vet prior to this clinic opening and we happily came to see her at this brand new hospital! The vet team is the most understanding, sweetest, and caring group of people. They treat your pet with so much love as if they were their own. One thing I really appreciate is the promptness of getting your pet into a room and set to be seen. They keep the lobby free of other guests and their pets, which helps with my dogs anxiety. I can't say enough good things about the doctors and staff at Phinney Veterinary. It's been a long time since I didn't feel like just a number, quickly being rushed through an appointment or upsold an expensive treatment plan. I understand it's hard, especially in markets where the rents are high. Clinics need to make enough to survive, and I'm sure Phinney Vet faces the same challenges, but... you will never feel this there. They take time with you, especially with nervous pets. They don't rush, they don't force. It definitely feels like they are practitioners of fear free treatment. I have a few nervous pets, and one that even growled at our previous vet. He has never done that at Phinney. And they can lead him away with his leash, sure, still nervous, but willing to go, instead of the last place that wanted to muzzle him and have me sedate him an hour before appointments because he growled and resisted. We started bringing our dog Lucy to Phinney Veterinary last year and they have taken such good care of her each and every visit. The whole Phinney Veterinary team is so friendly and very patient with our pup. Would recommend them to anyone looking for a veterinarian in the area!
